EXPERIENCE BAITUL-BIR
We believe that a single action can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through interest-free loans from a revolving fund, our team works tirelessly each day to contribute their part to the greater good. Baitul-Bir has a network of volunteers at both the collection level and the field level. The volunteers are thoroughly trusted individuals with full dedication to the cause of Baitul-Bir.
ABOUT
Baitul Bir Foundation (BBF)
Here at Baitul Bir, we are driven by a single goal; to enable, empower, and make self-sufficient, making villages a better place for all. We identify the poor and needy (orphans and widows, etc.), usually the sole supporters of their entire families, and provide them with financial support in the form of revolving interest-free loans for setting up small businesses, or funds for technical/educational training. We believe this makes them self-sufficient for the rest of their lives.
What We Do
Support Local. Affect Global.
Baitul Bir is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. We have supported dozens of businesses in Inzari so far:
-
Widows/needy women are provided with sewing machines to earn a livelihood and support families.
-
Women are provided training in tailoring and handicrafts at our centers to make them earners for their families.
-
Women are given loans (qarz -e- hasna) to establish small home-based businesses.
-
Poor men are given loans (qarz -e- hasna) to establish small businesses.
-
Those ill and unable to work are provided medical help to enable them to become earners for their families.
-
Educational support is provided to orphans from primary to university level education.
-
The education support is also extended to other needy students who are performing excellent academically but cannot continue because of financial stringency.
How we work: THE PROCESS
We work locally, right at the village level. We have our volunteers spread locally throughout. They live among those people. They verify the need and poverty level of the needy. They are able to continuously observe the performance of a particular project.

A particular need can be identified by our volunteer or a needy may approach our volunteers. A case is selected after proper verification and discussion with relevant volunteers and concerned donor if any.

All the money provided to the needy is considered loan (Qarz-e-Hasana) and it is expected that the lenders will pay back accordance to their convenience. This will enable Bait ul Bir to have revolving fund.
