WHO WE ARE
Baitul Bir works at the village level for delivery of alms and zakat. Our volunteers are from the villages and live among the villagers. They are required to verify first-hand the need and poverty level of the needy. They are able to continuously observe the performance of a particular project.
We have a network of volunteers at both collection and delivery levels. The volunteers are thoroughly trusted individuals with full dedication to the cause of Baitul Bir.
We select cases after proper verification and discussion with relevant volunteers and concerned donors. All the money provided to the needy is considered loan (Qarz-e-Hasana) and it is expected that the borrowers will pay back when they are able to do so. This will enable Baitul Bir to have revolving fund.
WHAT WE DO
Widows and other needy women are provided with sewing machines to enable them to earn their living and support the children.
Young women are provided tailoring and other handicraft training at our centers to make them earners for their families.
Women are provided with loan (qarz-e-hasana) to establish small home based businesses.
Poor men are provided with loan (qarz-e-hasana) to establish their own small businesses.
Men who have become sick and are unable to work are provided with medical help to enable them to become earners of their families.
Education support is provided to orphan children from primary to university education. The support can range from mere books to full bearing all the expenses of education. The support is also extended to other needy students who are performing excellently in academics.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
We have distributed many sewing machines to the needy women. They are successfully using those machines and some have been able to return their machine loan partially in installments.
SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Loan have been given to many men for starting small businesses like, vegetable shop, barbers shop, motorbike mechanic and ice cream etc.

Baitul Bir provides ongoing support for these twin orphans, and countless more in the Inzari and surrounding villages

Baitul Bir supports widows and their children so that the youth can focus on their education instead of worrying about family finances
Medical Support
Baitul Bir provide medical support for the poverty-stricken who succumb to even worse illnesses since they cannot afford appropriate health care
